This new publication is intended to introduce the reader to the obligatory and indispensable process that precedes and accompanies the creation of artistic ceilings, almost like a manual for anyone who would like to learn more about this complex universe. Each product offered includes scale drawings, some of them in perspective, and detailed explanatory illustrations. These are creations from Vladimiro Di Folco’s workshop in Sora. With the help of his wife, Giovanna De Gasperis, and their children, Giulia and Flavio, this extraordinary workshop has been designing and producing richly ornamented ceilings for almost half a century. Executed by hand in wood, stucco, plaster, semi-precious stones, imitation marble and other precious materials, these unique pieces installed in churches, castles and stately homes have restored splendour and nobility to those places, enhancing a tradition that is now on the verge of extinction. This atelier represents an outstanding example of excellence in the sector and also a virtuous example of the small and medium-sized Italian family business.
